If order is less than $5,000 in value, minimum brokerage rate applies.
Brokerage is on a graduated scale per security and order. A Buy order, paid by personal cheque may incur a NZ$25 bank special answer fee. Purchase of a foreign bank draft for a Buy incurs a NZ$25 fee.
** In addition to the above charges UK Purchases attract a Stamp Duty of 0.5% on the purchase consideration.
For US purchases there is a US$500 charge (by the US authorities) for a share certificate.
We must have cleared NZ dollars upfront to cover the buy order (whether in NZ, Aus, US or UK). Proceeds of sell orders are paid out in NZ dollars: the conversion rate applied is that at time of the transaction.

$50.00 minimum brokerage for Government Stock, local authority stock,corporate bonds, capital notes and debentures.
For orders up to $50,000 -   1.0%.

FREE Entry - Managed Funds
NZIJ's "FREE Entry - Managed Funds" service applies to most managed funds, unit trusts, superannuation and retirement funds in New Zealand and Australia. You can save large amounts of money as you normally pay up to 5% of the amount you invest in a fund as an entry fee. Your savings go into extra units.

Guaranteed Service
Our commitment is to provide the best quality service. If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with our service when making a trade, write to us within 30 days and we will refund our brokerage from the trade. NB. We have never had the guarantee requested or exercised since 1993.

Accessibility - You can talk to us easily
We are easy to contact. Our office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm. You can place orders at any time by phone, email, letter, fax or in person. When the NZ market is open ( 10.00am - 4.40pm ), we can usually confirm your completed order in minutes. The Australian market's hours are 2 hours behind New Zealand's.
