NZIJ Stockbrokers ceased carrying out any sharebroking or taking on new financial services business on 30 November 2010. This has been due to increased regulatory costs and lower trading volumes.
This has been a real disappointment for us as it ends 18 years of client service, firstly operating as Reuhman & Co, and since 2001 as NZIJ Stockbrokers Ltd.
While we have provided a "no-advice" orders only service, under the new Financial Service Providers regulations NZIJ would nonetheless have had to register under the new Act's provisions, and John Reuhman and Anne Stainer would have had to achieve more exam standards. These requirements were just too costly for the provision of a discount service.
We would like sincerely to thank all our clients who have traded with us over the years. We have always tried to provide the best, most efficient but friendly, personal service and have taken pride in our work and enjoyed talking to you.
